The UConn Master Gardeners have assembled a calendar for Connecticut gardeners! There are tips for every month on how to plan and maintain your garden, as well as tips on starting native plants by seed in the winter.
For a donation of $15, we will provide you with a 2026 calendar.
If you would like to have it mailed to you, the donation would need to be $24.
 

UConn 4-H Sheep Day will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Registration fee is non-refundable. Check-in will be at the Ratcliffe Hicks Arena on the UConn Storrs Campus. Designed for youth ages 7-18, parents, and leaders. 

UConn 4-H Expressive Arts Day will be held at the Litchfield County Extension Center in Torrington, CT on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The registration fee is $20.00 per youth member. The registration deadline is March 13, 2026.

For a donation of $25, we will provide you with a CT Gardeners' Journal for pick up at a county office.  If you would like to have it mailed to you, the donation would need to be $34.

The National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual 2025 Edition 

The New England Vegetable Management Guide is a comprehensive guide to current production and pest management techniques for commercial vegetable crops.

This 3-part workshop series will walk producers through key best practices for demonstrating on-farm food safety needed for schools and other alternative wholesale outlets. Led by farmers and food safety experts, this series includes conducting a self-assessment, developing timelines for implementing improvements, and drafting standard operating procedures. 

Certification Training Manual for Commercial Pesticide Applicators and Technicians (CT category 3A). This manual prepares commercial pesticide applicators and technicians who are seeking certification to use and/or (in the case of applicators) supervise the use of pesticides.

This set includes 12 posters, each featuring a different local foods, with English and Spanish integrated onto each poster.

Join us for the UConn 2026 Spring Bedding Plant Workshop in New Haven, CT. This workshop is for commercial greenhouse growers. This workshop is for commercial greenhouse growers with a focus on bedding plant production. Topics include insect and disease management, water quality, and crop nutrition. These talks will include CEU pesticide credits.
