This short course introduces the learner to the basics of the nutrition needs of the horse.

The Riding Camp Instructor’s Horsemanship Safety Clinic is for camps instructing campers in any phase of horsemanship and includes camps that own or lease horses, which utilize the camper’s horses and which contract with a neighborhood stable for horses.

This short course introduces the learner to the basics of the equine skeletal system and its related disorders.

UConn 4-H is excited for the return of the 4-H Volunteer Conference on Saturday November 15th, which will feature a keynote presentation about bullying from Dr. Ken Culp of University of Kentucky Extension, multiple workshop offerings, and an awards luncheon recognizing outstanding volunteers. 

Explore UConn is a one-day 4-H program, aimed at junior and senior highschool youth this program allows members to visit various College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) departments, enjoy a provided lunch in a campus dining unit, and interact with current UConn students, faculty and staff.

Join us for a full day of workshops that will get you outside and exploring nature, visiting the DEEP's Session Woods, and getting elbows deep in some great environmental projects!
