Designed for urban EMRS or EMTs who wish to adapt their skills to remote care environments like Search & Rescue teams, Community Emergency Response Teams, rural or remote EMS, expedition medics or trip leaders. Must hold current national registry EMR/EMT cert. or state license. Includes CPR, AED and epinephrine injection. Hybrid.

This registration is for part 2, the in-person session, only You must verify successful completion of PART 1 prior to registering for PART 2 of the course. Part 2 is a face-to-face class that takes place on the Western New Mexico University Campus in Silver City, NM February 19-21 and Feb 27-28, 2027. Designed for graduates with current WFR and WEMS certification. This course focuses on updates, patient assessment, and evacuation while providing a thorough of the original course material. Course is hands-on simulations, skill labs and case studies.

Designed for professionals working in high-risk outdoor environments and/or those workign with groups on multi-day extended trips in remote areas, under challenging condtions, with limited equipment, unreliable communication and little to no access to emergency care. Includes CPR, AED and epinephrine Injection

Wilderness First Responder & Wilderness Emergency Medical Services (WFR & WEMS) Payment through this link is for PART 2 ONLY of the WILDERNESS FIRST RESPONDER/WEMR/WEMT RECERTIFICATION course. WEMR's/WEMT's, your certification must be current in order to participate in this recertification course.

Register for the in-person session of a wilderness first responder course. Does not include the online learning modules or online testing. Students need to complete both the online and face-to-face components to certify. Cost: $400.00
