K-12 Education Programs

    An interactive children’s program starting with a story and ending with a bird-themed craft. Join us as we draw inspiration from a piece on view by artist Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (citizen of Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation). The program will begin with a story featuring wildlife with birds as the central characters. Afterwards, we will create our own bird nest with baby birds.

  • Tuesday, April 15, 10:30am-12pm
    An interactive children’s program starting in the gallery to view a work of art by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (citizen of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation). Her piece All of My Relations Book I, uses text and image to highlight the interconnectedness of all living things. After discussing the work, we will create a fun frog craft to usher in the start of spring.

  • Saturday, February 15, 1:30-3pm

    The program will begin with a story featuring a polar bear as the central character. After the story, we will create our own polar bear painting using a fork instead of a paintbrush!
