Updated in 2025, this 265 page book is the definitive reference guide for land use planners, volunteer commissioners, and other decision makers on the processes, powers, regulations, and procedures for making local land use decisions in the State of Connecticut. It covers everything from basic concepts in land use planning and regulation to steps in processing applications to enforcement of decisions. Proceeds from the book support the educational programs of UConn CLEAR’s Land Use Academy, a collaboration of the departments of Extension and Natural Resources and Environment.
Please note: The book is shipped from the UConn Middlesex County Extension Center in Haddam. The Walk-in option for shipping should only be chosen by those who can pick up the book in Haddam during business hours or who are attending a CLEAR Land Use Academy taking place in-person in Haddam.
