Hartford County Extension Council Fundraiser

Where can you find answers about food safety and community-supported agriculture? Who can you turn to with questions about gardening, the environment, and sustainability? Who has programs for youth through after-school clubs, summer camps, and fairs? The answer is UConn Cooperative Extension. Cooperative Extension helps people use research-based knowledge to improve their lives. It delivers programs and infor-mation that help people make informed choices and develop stronger communi-ties. These are a small sampling of the Ex-tension programs assisting members of the Hartford County communities.  Master Gardener program  Food and Nutrition programs  Pesticide Safety Education  Urban Forestry  4-H programs and fairs  Education for beginning farmers  Farm business and risk management Extension relies on financial, in-kind and volunteer support from the Hartford County community. Resources are spent on the programs themselves, not promotion. You may have utilized one or more of our programs, which are provided with little fanfare or publicity. Certainly a neighbor has!
