Lean Six Sigma training is for professionals looking to improve companies’ business process capabilities, reduce costs and defects, eliminate waste, increase profits and productivity, and enhance the quality of products or services delivered. This training teaches you the strategies and tools necessary for leading process improvement in your organization.
Black Belts are considered the leaders within a Six Sigma team. Their primary task is project management; they are the individuals who define a Six Sigma project and its scope, and to set goals and timelines for the project. Black Belts oversee the accomplishments of other Green and Yellow Belt members and keep them on track to reach goals and deadlines. The Black Belt is considered the “Change Agent” for any organization.
Our Black Belt course teaches all the concepts and processes that are included in the Lean Six Sigma Body of Knowledge. You do not need any prior knowledge of Lean Six Sigma to attend this course. You will learn all the theories and models included in the first 3 levels, White Belt, Yellow Belt, and Green Belt.
Course Overview
Lean Six Sigma principles save organizations time and money through continuous improvement. Processes used include:
Reduction of output errors including the use of Metrics to evaluate areas to identify process steps that may be at risk of causing errors; Using the DMAIC model to improve an existing process and the DMADV model to create a new process by examining current practices; and using a customer-focused philosophy to reduce variation by improving decision-making processes
Lower Production or Service Costs including streamlining scheduling, communication and focus on task management.
Improve retention of clients by focusing on enhancing customer experiences by refining processes to meet their needs.
Empower employees to participate in improvement efforts and make changes.
Improve efficiency by helping organizations eliminate waste and preserve costly resources.
Upon successful completion of the course (attending all days, completing all assignments, passing the final exam, and submitting and passing the final Lean Six Sigma project), you will earn the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) credential. The Project Management Academy is authorized by the Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC), to issue the credential.
Your final Lean Six Sigma project must demonstrate your ability to carry out a Six Sigma project (from creation to the final stages using the DMAIC/DMADV method).
