Refund Policy: If cancelled at least 1 month prior to camp start date, 50% refund on total camp cost.  If cancelled less than 1 month but more than 2 weeks prior to camp start date, 25% refund on total camp cost.  If cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to camp start date, no refund will be granted.
Clinic Description
Participants will get to experience a day in the life of a Skyhawk equestrian. The clinic will include an opportunity to ride horses that the team uses for practices and competitions, as well as instruction from the coaching staff. Athletes will gain knowledge on what to expect as a student athlete and the requirements to be eligible for NCAA. We will also explore the different formats available in collegiate equestrian.

Eligibility
This equestrian clinic is open to ages 14-18. Athletes will choose to participate in either the horsemanship, reining or both western events. Western athletes should have show experience within the AQHA and/or the NRHA or an equivalent breed association.
Clinic Cost
The cost of the clinic is $450 for a single western event or $800 for both western events when booked on back to back dates. Lunch will be provided to participants. An additional lunch(es) can be provided for an additional fee of $20 per lunch per day.  Due to limited space, a nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of registration, please see our refund policy for more information. Housing is not provided.
Attire
Western riders should wear a flat leather or rubber soled boot with jeans and a well fitted shirt. Horses and equipment (saddles, etc.) are provided.
Facilities
The Ned R. McWherter Agricultural Complex will house the horsemanship and reining clinics. The 82, 000 square foot building includes a 24, 000 square foot indoor arena and seating for 3,200 people. There is a 185-stall barn adjacent to the complex.
Graves Stables is the home of UT Martin horses and will house the jumping seat clinic. The stables include 10 stalls, 3 wash racks and 3 tack rooms. There are approximately 30 acres of turnout, which includes 7 paddocks. A 250 x 150 outdoor arena is adjacent to the barn. We recommend that parents bring chairs if they want to stay and watch the clinic.
Clinic Instructors
Kim Leiter is in her 11th season coaching the Skyhawks and last season was named ECAC head coach of the year for the third consecutive year in a row. She has over 30 years of proven success in the equestrian field. A credentialed AQHA and NSBA judge, she has coached clients to AQHA World Championship and Top-10 titles in multiple events. During her collegiate riding career, she was the 1990 ISHA national champion in hunt seat equitation and was a finalist in horsemanship for the University of Findlay.
 
Caitlin Marshall is in her third season coaching the Jumping seat squad for the Skyhawks and her eighth season as a NCEA coach. Prior to coaching collegiately she spent several years training professionally. She rode collegiately for Fresno State competing for the team from 2007-2011 and was part of a Bulldog program that was a four-time qualifier for the Varsity National Championship.
