Policy Term: June 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024 Liability insurance must be purchased before beginning the field experience. The insurance must be purchased within the policy term of June 1 to May 31 and is valid for the term. For internships beginning on or after June 1, the policy should not be purchased prior to June 1. The University of Tennessee provides optional professional liability coverage for student professionals. The following professional services are covered under this policy: Criminal Justice, Dietetics, Exercise, Family and Consumer Science, Health and Human Performance, Health and Physical Education, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Sport Business. The student must pay the Student Professional Liability fees to obtain this coverage.
