Participants will receive training and certification in the techniques required to start an IV infusion and withdrawal of blood for testing. Participants will receive hands-on-practice with our IV simulation manikins. The course provides information on fluid and electrolyte balance, puncture techniques, infection control, central line use, assessment management, care of the site, venous, arterial anatomy & physiology and Universal Precautions. Must be LPN without IV certification to participate.
