Tours

Carrier and squadron tours are approximately one hour and 30 minutes in length, depending on your group size, mobility, and how inquisitive guests may be. Casual attire and long sleeve shirts are recommended. Please do not wear skirts, heels or open-toed shoes. There will be a lot of walking and stair climbing during your 90-minute tour and tennis shoes are strongly recommended.

Only U.S. Citizens will be able to attend the Carrier or Squadron tours. Age limit for tour is 18-74 years old. Guests should not accept this invitation unless they are in good health. Navy aircraft carriers, by their very nature, present certain hazards not normally encountered ashore. These hazards require persons on board to exercise a high degree of care for their own safety. Do not operate equipment or switches, position any valves, or enter any posted areas without prior approval from the ship’s force. Be aware of where you place your hands. Never grasp things such as cables or wires. Please be aware that the ladders on the aircraft carrier are steep and there will be walking and climbing involved in the tour. If you are claustrophobic or have other physical ailments, it may be better to forego your visit.

Prohibited Items: Explosives and incendiaries, firearms, ammunition, other dangerous weapons, illegal drugs, transmitting devices, personal defense aerosols or sprays, alcoholic beverages, radioactive material, computer equipment, and any item the possession of which is a violation of federal, state, or local laws. Please note: Upon entering any U.S. Navy installation, all vehicles and hand-carried items are subject to inspection.
