Lakeland Community College offers an array of musical opportunities for students and community members. The General Music Program Fund was created to support these opportunities.
Lakeland has four types of music courses for our students and community:
General Education: Lakeland has several music courses that satisfy general education requirements.
Musicianship Courses: Lakeland offers many musical and technical skills courses.
Private Lessons: Lakeland offers and also partners with the Fine Arts Academy to provide instrument or voice in group or private lesson classes.
Civic Music: Lakeland has six civic music ensembles where community members or students taking a class for credit will perform with an organized ensemble.
For more information on which classes are offered when, see our current MUSC course schedule.
The general music program fund is intended to be broad and flexible. Donations will be used to support music activities, concerts, and a general appreciation of music for Lakeland students and the community.
