CLEAR Land Use Commissioner Advanced Training at UConn Middlesex County Extension Center 10/19/24

In-Person Cost: $55.00 (includes breakfast and lunch) or $90.00 (includes breakfast, lunch and the book "What's Legally Required")
Registration Deadline for In-Person: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 (Please note the training may fill before this date so early registration is encouraged.)

Virtual Cost: $55 (includes unique virtual link emailed a couple days prior to training)

The UConn Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR) will be running an all-day Land Use Academy – Advanced Training. The full four (4) credits of the required CGS Sec. 8-4c training will be provided through this event. Advanced Training topics of Bias, Predisposition, and Conflicts will be presented by Richard P. Roberts, Halloran & Sage, Advanced Training topics on Running a Meeting and Making a Decision will be presented by Kenneth Slater, Jr., of Halloran & Sage, and Mark Branse, of Halloran & Sage, will present a session on Fair and Affordable Housing Policies which will cover one (1) credit on Fair and Affordable Housing Policies as required by the State Statute.

General commissioner training hours: 3
Fair & Affordable Housing training hours: 1

In-Person Registrants have the option to purchase a copy of the 8th Edition of “What’s Legally Required: A Guide to Legal Rules for Making Land Use Decisions in the State of Connecticut” by Mike Zizka with their registration. Purchased books can be picked up at the training.
