Augusta University Art & Design is going on a field trip to Atlanta! We'll visit the Center for Puppetry Arts and the High Museum.

The Center for Puppetry Arts is home to more than 5000 puppets and artifacts.  It has the world's largest collection of Jim Henson puppets.  It also has a limited stop-motion animation exhibit with puppets and props from Corpse Bridge, James and the Giant Peach, Spongebob, Adventure Time, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Rudolph, and more.

Located in the heart of Atlanta, the High Museum of Art features a collection of more than 20,000 works of art, a dynamic schedule of special exhibitions and engaging community-focused programs.  Special exhibition during this trip include Los Porfiados (The Stubborns), I SPY! Walter Wick's Hidden Wonders,  and Martin Puryear: Nexus.

The trip leaves October 3rd from 8 AM to 8 PM.  We'll arrive and return to the Summerville campus fountain.  Be sure to bring food for lunch at Lenox Square and dinner at a fast food restaurant.
