Telemental Health Counseling Training

Telemental Health Counseling Training

This course was developed for counselors-in-training and covers content-appropriate training qualified for Board Certified Telemental Health (BC-TMH) Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) Credential eligibility. Students who successfully complete this course are not certified as BC-TMH, but obtain the necessary training to partially qualify for this certification. Once students have successfully completed this course, they must then obtain a qualifying license or the NCC credential, pay the application fee, submit the application to CCE, disclose criminal, legal, or disciplinary related matters, and complete the comprehensive final examination. This course covers the following CCE TMH domains: orientation to telemental health; practitioner protocols and informed consent; implementation of telemental health; professional, legal, and compliance standards; professional ethics; and crisis management. The course is considered live because students are required to post questions that the instructor will answer.
