New Mexico Bureau of Mine Safety

The New Mexico Bureau of Mine Safety (BMS) exists to actively promote the safety of the miners, contractors, operators, researchers, and other persons associated with operating mines, and performing earthwork or rock excavation within New Mexico. BMS training and initiatives focus on accident prevention and have contributed to a superb safety record in New Mexico. 

The necessity of NM BMS 

People in New Mexico rely on the NM Bureau of Mine Safety (BMS) because it plays a crucial role in promoting the safety and well-being of miners, contractors, and others involved in the mining industry. The BMS focuses on preventing accidents and injuries through training, initiatives, and active involvement in mine rescue operations.

    The bureau provides comprehensive training programs for miners, including language classes, to ensure they are equipped to work safely.
