Museum of Natural History

The biological research and teaching collections from the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources and the College of Science were integrated into a single natural history museum which opened in March 2014. The Museum of Natural History is the result of decades of collection and work by UNR faculty, students, technicians, and volunteers, dating back to the 1850s. As the only museum of its kind in the state, the Museum of Natural History is a unique and important resource for understanding Nevada's and the Great Basin’s natural heritage. Read more here.
