CyberLEAP Module: Introduction to Discrete Systems

By the end of this module students should be able to:

  • Determine whether an argument is logically sound and write clear, thorough, and precise mathematical proofs.
  • Analyze discrete mathematical functions, sets, graphs, and recurrence relations.
  • Apply principles of set theory and the element method of proof to formally demonstrate equality of sets and subset relationships.
  • Apply counting principles to determine the order of magnitude of a computing problem or other related domain.
  • Apply elementary probability concepts.





CyberLEAP Refund Policy:

Students in the CyberLEAP program will be eligible for a refund if the following conditions are met.

  1. All requests for refund must be in writing. Email communication is acceptable. This request must include:
    1. Date of request
    2. Date of last attended class
    3. Reason for request of refund
    4. Name and address of student
  2. Students are eligible for 100% refund if requested in writing prior to or on the first day of the module.
  3. The remained of the 1st week of the module students are eligible for a 90% refund.
  4. During the 2nd week of the module students are eligible for a 60% refund.
  5. During the 3rd and 4th week of the module students are eligible for a 50% refund.
  6. During the 5th through the 8th week of the module students are eligible for a 25% refund.
  7. After the 8th week of the module, there will be no refund.
