Joe Renzulli’s Houndstooth Theory applies directly to the building of self-efficacy regarding the social emotional learning of children who exhibit gifted and talented traits. Teachers who have the tools to recognize and understand the social and emotional characteristics of children who exhibit gifted and talented traits are more equipped to meet their interests and abilities within the classroom.
