TN Master Beekeeper Advanced Class
The Tennessee Master Beekeeper Program is a school for beekeepers. The goal is to improve the knowledge of TN beekeepers about beekeeping, and the program is dedicated to all beekeepers in Tennessee. Currently more than 3,000 stakeholders, representing 85+ TN counties have participated.
The purpose of the
Advanced
Master Beekeeper Program is to give experienced beekeepers the information and training they need to be able to increase their skillsets, grow their operations, and improve their support of their bees. The trainings use a set of lectures and hands-on experiences to provide science-based and applied information about bees and beekeeping. In addition, each participant is required to complete pre- and post-program surveys, which will be evaluated by the instructors. Please note that this class is
not
a basic one and we prefer participants have a
minimum of 5-10 years of experienc
e to ensure the level of beekeeping experience and knowledge of bees to be successful in the class and not slow down the pace of the class for others.
This is a two-day beekeeping class and meets the requirements for TAEP grant funding (the Basic MBP class also counts for TAEP grant funding).
The cost per person is $125 and is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE
, unless is cancelled due to low registrations
. Please see details below for dates, times, and locations. Online registration only –
no walk-in registrations will be accepted.
Classes will be capped at 30 participants & may be cancelled if a minimum of 15 participants is not met.
Registration Deadline: 7 days before class starts.
REQUIREMENT TO REGISTER: Completion of the TN Basic Master Beekeeping Class (formerly called the TN Hobbyist Beemaster Class)
PRIOR TO 2026 –
no waivers or exceptions
. Registrations will be reviewed and individuals who have not met this requirement will have their registration cancelled.Â
If you were late in filling out the mandatory post-class assessment but submitted it before 4/20/26, you may register even if I have not processed your late submission and issued your certificate yet.
If you did not filled out the mandatory pest-class assessment by 4/20/26, please do not register (it will be cancelled). Instead, fill out the post-class assessment (search your email for emails from me and the name of the county where you took the class), and then fill out the Interest Form and indicate you are interested in registering if spaces are available. I will contact you if there is space available for you to register.
