This course is designed for equine owners, business operators, farm/managers, and others with an interest in equine nutrition. The course will contain 9 online webinars and access to a digital classroom with additional resources, interact with instructors and guest speakers, and complete case studies. Content will cover equids, including horse, pony, donkey, and mules. Topics covered in the course will include:

• Equine Digestive Tract
• Body Condition & Muscle Assessment Scoring
• Body Weight Estimation
• Nutrients and Nutrient Requirements
• Forages and Concentrates (feed types and selection)
• Supplements
• Ration Development
• Feeding Athletic/Performance Equids
• Feeding the Growing, Breeding and Lactating Equids
• Metabolic Conditions
• Feeding Senior and Emaciated Equids
