Gray, Tennessee

Introduction to Quilting Camp will be held June 16 thru 18, 2025  at the Appalachian Fairgrounds, Building #1 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  During this week, you will get experience in using a sewing machine, cutting out quilt patterns, and using a rotary cutter, cutting mat, quilting mat, and so much more. 

Participants will create several small quilting projects:  string quilted jewelry bags, coasters, pillows, table toppers and wall hangings to mention a few.  All these items can also be entered in the fair.  Youth will learn hand and machine quilting, tacking, binding and envelope techniques used in quilting.  Participants will learn about mixing and matching colors and patterns.
