Course Description: Intermediate Birding is a field -based opportunity to build on basic birding skills. Prerequisites are either completing a Beginning Birding class at Nashville Community Education, or a working understanding of bird identification, using field guides, eBird, and binocular usage. Each meeting will take place at a different Davidson County birding hotspot. Each meeting site is selected to highlight different habitats to maximize the species to observe, and will include developing the following skills:
-using a spotting scope
-choosing where to bird based on season/weather
-utilizing data to inform what birds to expect
-differentiating similar species

Students will come away with a great beginning "life list" of birds, as well as knowing some of the best local places to go birding on their own.

Cancellation Policy:
Participants must cancel before the first class takes place to receive a refund of registration fee.

Prices range from $15.00 to $40.00 (price depends on options selected)
