It’s Chick Chain time in Union County! This year, we will be ordering from Ideal Hatchery located in Cameron, Texas. They offer package tracking and hopefully we will have an accurate arrival date of April 22-25, 2026. Limited quantities of chicks available so get your order in quickly! 4th-12th graders may participate.

Application and Fees Due by April 1, 2026.

We will be providing two different breeds to choose from. Only a limited number of each breed is available, so you will be assigned a breed on a first come, first serve basis. We will try to match you up with the breed of your choice. You are only eligible to receive one set of chicks per child. You will receive 15 chicks. Chicks are scheduled to arrive April 22-25, but these dates are subject to change as the chicks will arrive by US mail.
