Fees related to Soil Analysis in Marion County.

SOIL TEST INFORMATION

Soil Nutrient Test - $15.00
This test will provide you with the soil pH, buffer pH, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, iron, sodium, and boron levels in the soil. Fertilizer and lime recommendations are also included.

Soil Organic Matter Test - $15.00
This test will provide you with the percent of organic matter. Organic matter is the amount of decayed or humified organic material (crop residues, compost, manures, etc.) in the soil.

Soil Soluble Salts - $10.00
This test will help you determine if there are excess salts in your soil that may be damage your vegetation. Vectors include salting of roads, excess fertilizer (especially organic), etc. This test must be done in a timely manner as salts are soluble and dissipate quickly after rainfall/irrigation, leaving no evidence of their damage.

Soil Texture (USDA version) - $30.00
This test will provide you with sand, silt, and clay composition of your soil per USDA specs.

Soil Sulfur Test - $10.00
This test will provide you with level of Sulfur in your soil. Of note, accurate measurements are situationally volatile and are affecting by moisture and other variables. We recommend consulting with our agricultural agent before selecting this test.

FORAGE TEST INFORMATION

Forage NIRS Test - $17.00
This test will provide you with the levels of Moisture, Crude Protein (CP), Relative Feed Quality (RFQ), Total Digestible Nutrients (TDN) levels, Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), and much more.

Forage Minerals Test - $20.00
This test will provide you with the Calcium (Ca), Phosphorus (P), Magnesium (Mg), Potassium (K), Sulfur (S), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), and Boron (B) levels in the forage.

Forage Nitrates Test - $10.00
This test will measure the amount of nitrates in your sample expressed in parts per million (ppm, mg/kg). Nitrate levels above 2,500 ppm can be toxic to ruminant animals.
