Azaleas are more than a harbinger of spring. All across the Southeast, masses of red, white, pink and purple azaleas boldly proclaim that the season has arrived. Many people think azaleas come in just four colors, and some may even criticize their use as commonplace. Discriminating gardeners know better.

Plan for your spring garden now and join the UT Gardens, Knoxville and national authority on azaleas and rhododendrons, Don Hyatt, for a half-day symposium on all things azalea.

Learn how to be successful growing native and Asian evergreen azaleas, what selections are ideal for our region, and how best to use them in your landscape. As fall is the time for planting, an azalea sale with choice cultivars grown and selected by noted azalea grower, Vivian Abney, will be held after the symposium.
