For presenters needing AV equipment, please indicate this in the registration form. Presenters must bring their own laptops. People who use Apple should plan to bring an adapter. Presenters who need HDMI or speaker cables should provide those.
We are thinking about putting together an optional excursion on Sunday morning (Oct 20) to the acclaimed Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration (on the site of one of the largest slave markets in the South) and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, which commemorates those lynched by white mobs between 1877 and 1950. These powerful exhibits are in Montgomery Alabama, about 90 miles south of Birmingham. Depending on interest, we can arrange group tickets and transportation. Participants can expect to be back in Birmingham by 2:30pm.
The Saturday banquet (October 19) will be held at the downtown Wine Loft. This event will be available to 75 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Banquet attendance is an additional cost of $40.00.
