March 2018 Centrifugal Compressor Operations for 21st Century Users (CCOPS) Short Course held for 3.5 days March 20 – 23, 2018 in Houston, Texas at the Double Tree by Hilton IAH Airport hotel 15747 JFK Boulevard, Houston, TX 77032. Entry level professionals will accelerate their understanding of the technology and how it is used in oil & gas applications. Experienced professionals will enhance their knowledge of current technologies and methods, enabling more effective project performance and/or maintenance strategies. All participants will add to their network of industry professionals and be able to share ideas, experiences and questions. The improved knowledge and expertise will provide a cost benefit to attendees’ companies: • By reducing errors and wasted engineering / SCM hours caused by misinterpreted nomenclature / specifications • By identifying possible improvements to plant performance via application of more modern centrifugal equipment; i.e., increased efficiency, reduced maintenance requirements, etc. • By providing a better understanding of the various types of centrifugal compressors and subcomponents (i.e., impellers, diffusers, bearings, seals, etc.) and the performance they provide, leading to more informed decisions when considering design requirements, selecting new equipment, deciding on a test plan, etc. **Early discounted price of $2040.00 is available through March 9, 2018 after which the price will be $2400.00. CANCELLATION POLICY Written registration fee refund requests (by email, fax, or postal mail) must be received in the Turbomachinery Laboratory (TL) Office by midnight on January 2, 2017. A $250.00 administration fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Late cancellations (after the cancellation date) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for personal hardships (death, injury, or illness of the attendee or an immediate family member). Refunds may also be extended for acts of nature and national emergencies. The TL does not refund for business decisions by the attendee’s employer such as: job reassignment, plant emergencies, etc. However, we encourage substituting another employee so the attendees’ company receives the benefit of training. In the event of a “no-show” cancellation, short-course materials will be forwarded to the absent attendee. The State of Texas does not allow the TL to extend credit to individuals or companies. Therefore, we cannot apply registration fees for a missed course to another subsequent course. The TL reserves the right to cancel any short course and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. We reserve the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. The TL will not be responsible for any losses incurred by the registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
