Course Dates
28-29 April 2019

This course is located in Doha, Qatar at the Texas A&M University at Qatar Engineering Building

Course Overview
The engineering infrastructure projects such modern highways, railroads, and waterways world-wide need sound systematic and well-grounded financial methodologies to predict, estimate, and analysis their initial capital investment, financial implications, and life cycle costs. When economic decisions are made, the decision makers typically generate reliable data on variety of envisioned projects including their life cycle costs, priority and importance to the end users, and financial constraints associated with these projects.
Selection of an optimal alternative requires consideration of both technical performance and long-term and short-term costs to ensure its optimum return on the invested capital. Often there are other competing needs for funds, so engineers and managers must be able advance their case appropriately.
Financial and Economic Decision Making deals with objective methods that enable decision-makers to evaluate and compare alternatives using sound analytical methods.
