The Life Member Celebration is the association's way to honor life members of the SHSU Alumni Association and to recognize and celebrate our newest life members. This event will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village (1200 Lake Plaza Dr., Spring, TX 77389).

This event will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village (1200 Lake Plaza Dr., Spring, TX 77389). The celebration will include a special plaque presentation to our newest Life Members. Life Members who joined in 2025 receive complimentary admission by contacting the Alumni Office at 936-294-1841. Reception starts at 6 pm, Dinner and Program at 7 pm.

For added convenience of local guests, limited spaces are available to ride a bus from Huntsville to the Life Member Celebration. The bus will depart Huntsville at 5:00 p.m. and return to Huntsville at the end of the evening. Bus pick-up will be from the John R. Ragsdale Alumni Center - 1605 Sam Houston Avenue, Huntsville, TX
