The Story of the Sam Houston Chickens

Released in 2018, The Story of the Sam Houston Chickens is a fictional children’s book about how the museum chickens crossed the road to the Sam Houston State University campus. Published by Bright Sky Press, the book was a project between the museum and the spring 2017 Priority One public relations class at SHSU. The book’s illustrations are also by a former student from the Department of Art at SHSU. All proceeds from book purchases will be directed to scholarships for students in the Departments of Mass Communication and Art.
