Choral Educators Professional Development Workshop

The SHSU Choral Educators Online Professional Development Workshop is scheduled for June 28-30, 2021 (June 28/29: 8am - 5pm; June 30: 8am - 12pm). Educators can earn up to 20 hours CPE hours credit during the workshop. The theme for this year’s workshop is "Moving Forward: Renewing and Inspiring through Choral Experiences.” Session topics will include building community and leadership, vocal pedagogy, the male changing voice, programming repertoire, rehearsal planning, and effective feedback in the choral rehearsal. Guest presenters will include 2019 GRAMMY Music Educator Award Recipient, Dr. Jeffery Redding (University of Central Florida), Florida ACDA President-Elect, Dr. Kelly Miller (University of Central Florida), former Texas choral educator, Dr. Adam Zrust (University of Central Missouri), as well as area choral directors and SHSU faculty. Registration is open for this online workshop. Prior to the start of the workshop, registered attendees will be sent Zoom links, as well as links to all relevant materials.
