Choral Educators Professional Development Workshop

The SHSU Choral Educators Professional Development Workshop is scheduled for June 29, 30 and July 1, 2020. SPECITAL NOTE: SPECIAL NOTE: As part of our response to COVID-19 and minimizing social contact, this choral workshop will take place in an online setting. Registration is now open. Prior to the start of the workshop, registered attendees will be sent Zoom links, as well as links to all relevant materials. Attendees need only to have internet access with audio capabilities to participate. All questions may be directed to Dr. Sandy Hinkley at sxh080@shsu.edu.Teachers can earn up to 20 hours CPE hours credit during the workshop. The standard workshop fee is $150.00. The theme for the 2020 SHSU Choral Educators Workshop is "Back to Basics: Repertoire, Reading and Rehearsal." Topics this year include teaching repertoire, music literacy development, and rehearsal techniques. Presenters include Dr. Sandy Hinkley and other SHSU faculty, special guests Denise Eaton, Mike Ware, and Dennis Boyter, as well as choral directors from Cy-Fair High School.
