String Pedagogy Workshop for Music Educators

Please join us online June 22-24 for SHSU’s String Pedagogy Workshop for Music Educators. This virtual event is an opportunity for music educators to enhance their teaching in string education. Fee includes a day of complimentary workshops from SHSU string faculty Javier Pinell, Nina Bledsoe Knight, Daniel Saenz, and Deborah Dunham. Guest presenters include Noa Kageyama of Bullerproof Musician, cellists Richard Aaron (University of Michigan and The Juilliard School), and Minna Rose Chung (University of Manitoba, CelloMind), violist Ivo van der Werff (Rice University), violinist Lisa Burrell, and conductors Randal Swiggum and Mario Aschauer (SHSU), The schedule will allow time for personal interaction with presenters and participants. This professional development workshop has been created for music educators to enhance their teaching in string education and is focused on giving teachers strong pedagogical tools and resources to use them well.
