Classes are February 10 and 12, 4:30–7:30 pm at CMU Tech, with a hands-on session on February 14, 10 am–1 pm at Canyon View Park. Please bring equipment if you have it, loaner gear is available. Learn how to effectively use a GPS receiver for accurate navigation, even in low-visibility conditions. This course covers the strengths and limitations of GPS devices, as well as how to recognize and compensate for errors. You’ll also review essential map and compass skills, which remain crucial for reliable navigation. The class concludes with a hands-on field exercise.
