Fingerstyle Guitar for Youth: July 20-24, 8:30 am-12:30 pm

Want to make your guitar sound more like two instruments at once? In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the basics of fingerstyle guitar—using your fingers to play melody, bass, and rhythm together. You’ll build skills step by step, starting with simple patterns and gradually working up to full songs. Along the way, you’ll improve coordination, timing, and control while learning techniques used in acoustic, folk, and modern fingerstyle music. Perfect for players who know a few chords and want to take their playing to the next level, this class helps you create a fuller, more expressive sound on your guitar. Students should have access to a guitar for class and practice. A music stand is optional but helpful.
