Advanced Welding (High School): July 27-31, 1-5 pm

Advance your welding skills in this week-long, hands-on camp for high school students ready to take on more complex techniques and projects. You’ll refine your abilities using professional fabrication equipment found in real shop and industry settings, with a focus on precision, consistency, and safety. Led by CMU Tech welding instructor Crimson Moriarty, you’ll complete guided, advanced projects that build on core welding processes and introduce higher-level fabrication skills. Ideal for students interested in skilled trades or engineering, as well as those looking to deepen and expand their welding abilities, this camp helps build the experience and confidence needed to move forward in your welding journey. Must have completed basic and intermediate welding or have permission. For your safety, please come prepared in jeans, a 100% cotton shirt, boots or canvas shoes, a hair tie if you have long hair, and a fillable water bottle.
