Step into the role of a pharmacy technician and discover what it’s really like to work in a pharmacy! Students will train in CMU Tech’s learning pharmacy—complete with bottles, computers, and real-world tools of the trade—through a hands-on, interactive lab experience. From counting “pills” (candy) to creating compounded creams, participants engage in realistic role-play, exciting compounding projects, and activities that bring the profession to life. Each day also includes creating take-home items such as lotions and Chapsticks, giving students something fun and functional to share. This immersive camp is led by Allison Vogel, Instructor and Program Director for the Pharmacy Technician Program at CMU Tech, who provides expert insight into the field while guiding students through real-world pharmacy skills and career exploration.
