Basic Welding Option 2: June 29-July 2, 1-5pm (Middle School)

Ready to spark your skills and step into the world of welding? In this week-long, immersive camp you’ll work with professional fabrication equipment and explore how welding is used in everything from manufacturing to creative metal art. Led by CMU Tech welding instructor Crimson Moriarty, you’ll learn in a supportive shop environment focused on safety, skill-building, and confidence. Throughout the week, you’ll be introduced to foundational welding processes, shop safety, and basic fabrication through guided, step-by-step projects. Whether you’re curious about the skilled trades, engineering, or just want to try something new, this camp is a great way to explore what welding is all about. (For your safety, please come prepared in jeans, a 100% cotton shirt, boots or canvas shoes, a hair tie if you have long hair, and a fillable water bottle.
