Introduction to Fly Fishing: June 22-26, 8:30 am-12:30 pm

This beginner-friendly fly-fishing course is the perfect way to get started on the water. You’ll learn the essentials—from choosing gear and understanding different types of flies through entomology, to tying key knots and practicing basic casting techniques. Step by step, you’ll build confidence and develop the
skills needed to fish independently. Throughout the week, you’ll practice both in the classroom, outdoors, and ultimately on the water, putting your new skills to the test at local fishing spots. Whether you’re completely new or just looking to improve, this course is designed to help you succeed and enjoy time outdoors. Students should bring a fly rod and reel. Parents will need to provide transportation to local off-site fishing locations.
