The Filmmaking Studio: Smartphone Production & Visual Storytelling Option 2: June 29-July 3, 1-5pm (Middle and High School)

Lights, camera, action! Join filmmaker Eric Hwang for a hands-on camp where you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into your 
own short films—using just your smartphone. From day one, you’ll start creating, experimenting, and bringing your stories 
to life. You’ll explore the full filmmaking process—from idea to final screening—while learning how to build a story, frame  great shots, use lighting, and edit like a pro. Along the way, you’ll pick up insider techniques filmmakers use, like creating smooth cuts and making scenes flow naturally. By the end of the camp, you’ll premiere your own video project and see your work on the big screen. Students will need CapCut and Google Photos installed.
