Defensive Handgun, December 7, 8, 8:00am-5:00pm

Students will learn how to properly and safely utilize a concealed carry holster for everyday carry as well as the responsibility the student accepts for carrying a firearm. Students will be able to understand the expectations from law enforcement in the event of an incident. Students will also be able to decide when it is appropriate to use a firearm in self-defense, and when other means of defense may be more appropriate. This course has a focus on not just understanding the basic legal requirements of CCW but also on getting the shooter proficient in manipulating the firearm in a defensive situation. Please bring your firearm, concealed carry holster or other retention devise, hearing protection, eye protection, and wear clothing appropriate for Colorado weather conditions. All ammo is provided. Prerequisite: This course may NOT be taken without certificate of a basic handgun course.
