Things Are Tough All Over by Jeffrey Higgins

SOLD OUT. Things Are Tough All Over is a ghost-collage coalition of words & images composed between November 2013 & February 2016 by Jeffrey Higgins, with illustrations by Katherine O’Shea. Some of the pieces are text adaptations of various performances embodied at different Word Bombing events in Bloomington, Illinois. A few were written in southeast Texas on the floor of an unfurnished apartment. This book is shadow body to the middle section of the unpublished book-length collage photo-poem Rise Up You Gravel Bodies. The subject as usual is economic; 2015 was the year of the air mattress.
