2017 Conflict Resolution Symposium

We are excited to announce that the 7th Annual Georgia State University Conflict Resolution Symposium hosted by the Office of the Ombudsperson will take place on Friday, October 20th, 2017, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Registration check-in will begin at 9 AM. Lunch will be provided.

This year's theme will be: A Seat at the Table: Building Community, Engaging Diverse Voices. At a time when society remains divided and polarized in many ways, we want to highlight efforts to build community, bridge divides, and engage in constructive dialogue where people whose voices have been marginalized or dismissed are "at the table."

The Symposium will feature speakers, panels, and trainers at the forefront of the fields of conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and community-building. And, as with previous years, the Symposium will also include a Peacemaking Tournament and ample time for networking.

Note: The All-Day Workshop with Chris Crass is a separate offering from the general symposium. Following the Keynote Address, the workshop will take place from 11 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.
