Who should attend the Summer Video Workshop? 
We are looking for rising Juniors and Seniors who are eager to participate in a hands-on learning experience on a college campus. 
 
The 2019 Summer Video Workshop will hold two one week sessions
at the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University for $1,000/person/week


Camp Sessions:
Week #1: June 17th - 21st, 2019
Week #2: June 24th - 28th, 2019

The Summer Video Workshop meet from 9:00AM - 3:00PM, Monday - Friday.

The Summer Video Workshop is a community outreach program for the Media Production Program and the Department of Communication at George Mason University.

Sample Schedule:

Monday Looking Though the Viewfinder Learn storytelling techniques through camera operations, camera framing and camera movement
Tuesday Block, Light, Shoot Use lights and techniques to create the mood
Wednesday Roll Sound! Learn about microphones and how to record different types of audio
Thursday Post-Production How to combine images, words, and audio
Friday Showtime! Editing and putting it all together
 

There will be two one-week sessions offered and each is an intensive workshop designed for rising 11th and 12th graders who have a passion for digital production and are looking to experience a college-level course in production. The digital media production course is being developed and taught by Mason faculty with professional experience in the applied arts.
