College Board College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

Time: CLEP testing candidates must contact the testing center and arrange an available time to be able to come in and test.

Tests are held in Visser Hall 125B, Emporia, Kansas. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to test start time.

The College Board College-Level Examination Program(CLEP) is a widely utilized credit-by-examination program that is accepted by 2,900 colleges and university and administered in more than 1,800 test centers. The CLEP allows students to earn college credit by demonstrating a mastery of introductory college-level material. Students can earn credit for what they already know by getting qualifying scores on any of the 33 examinations. The CLEP is a wonderful opportunity to receive credit and test out of introductory classes that a student feels they have already mastered.

Tests cost $104 in total. $89 will be paid to CLEP when signing up for the test and $15 will be paid to the ESU Testing Center for proctor services.

No refunds will be given for the test unless the Testing Center is notified 3 days before the day of testing at 620-341-5122. Refunds will take up to 2-3 weeks to process.
