ESU Stringfully, Spring 2026, $120

LOCATION: Emporia State University, Beach Music Hall

Stringfully - February 12 to May 1, 2026; Meets on Thursdays 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm, $120
The ESU String Academy meets once a week to work on instrument technique and ensemble playing for string players of all ages.

You will be asked to select one of these playing abilities while in the shopping cart.

• Dolce
Dolce: “Pre-Twinkle” beginner level: I am learning Twinkle and have little or no experience on my instrument. I am learning the foundations of the instrument.

Moderato
Experience on your instrument, but still learning technique. Learning how to read muic notes.

• Animato
I am making my way through the Suzuki book 1.
I am near completion of Essential Elements book 1, or starting book 2.
I can play 1 or 2 scales, and sight read music with simple rhythms.
I know most note names in first position.

• Vivace
I am halfway through Suzuki book 1 or starting book 2 and beyond.
I am comfortable with different bow strokes, slurs and string crossings.
Violin/viola: I can sight read music with 2 sharps or flats and shift to 3rd position.
Cello/bass: I can shift to 2nd or 4th position; I can sight read music with 2 sharps or flats.

PARENTAL CONSENT
I give my child permission to attend and participate in the ESU String Academy and related activities. I understand that my child must bring his/her instrument and the case must be labeled.
ESU STRING ACADEMY is not responsible for lost or damaged personal property. I understand that no fees will be refunded or transferred unless a child is unable to participate due to an accident or illness per physician orders.
