J-1 Scholars Drexel English Language Center Assessment Registration

$85 fee is for J-1 Scholar candidates who have been invited by a Drexel department. Each candidate will schedule a 15-20 minute long oral interview.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

According to United States Federal Regulations Screening and Selection of Program Participants Sponsors devise a method and criteria for selecting participants for their programs. All sponsors, regardless of category, are required to determine 1) the suitability of their program for prospective participants; and 2) that participants have sufficient proficiency in the English language to participate in their programs. [22 CFR 62.10(a)].

Drexel University has determined that a TOEFL score of 79 or IELTS score of 6.5 demonstrates sufficient language ability. TOEFL and IELTS are the preferred assessments. If no TOEFL or IELTS testing sites are available, J-1 candidates may register for an assessment with the Drexel English Language Center.

***After your payment is received, you will be contacted by the English Language Center to set up the assessment appointment. If you have any questions. Please email elc@drexel.edu

**Cancellation policy: If we are not able to schedule a testing session within 1 month of the request, the fee will be refunded to your credit card upon requests. If you fail to meet your scheduled appointment time, your payment will not be refunded.
