This is a reprint of A History of the College of Charleston by alumnus and history Professor E. H. Easterby, Class of 1920, published in hardcover in 1935 by The Scribner Press. It represents the comprehensive history of the founding of the College from the earliest discussions in the 1700s through 1935. A sequel, A History of the College of Charleston, 1936-2008, was authored by English Professor Nan Morrison (2008, USC Press) and is still in print in hardcover and available at the College of Charleston Bookstore. The book is softcover, featuring the College's official seal.
