ASLRC Lunch & Learn Event Title: Nutrition and Diabetes Prevention Margaret Peck, Public Health Educator, Healthy Tri-County, National Diabetes Prevention Program Join in as Margaret coaches individuals, families, and groups to be their best through health promotion, motivation, education, and behavior change. Her certifications and expertise provide targeted, effective, evidence-based coaching. Curricula includes: The National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), the Healthy Plate Cooking series, Eat Healthy- Be Active, Living Well (Stanford Chronic Disease Management), The Matter of Balance, and Health Coach for Hypertension Control. As a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, she guides individuals at all levels, including athletes, to reach their personal health, fitness and performance goals. The Healthy Plate Cooking 6-class series is based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and provides nutritional insight and training in home cooking skills... fun included. Margaret's specialties include weight management, diabetes prevention and behavior modification, as well as periodization & nutritional support for sports and fitness training. Programming is offered as personal fitness nutrition coaching as well as in workplace and organizational group settings.
